David Noriega is an award-winning journalist and National Correspondent for NBC News.

He has reported from all across the United States and more than a dozen countries on five continents, covering migration, politics, armed conflict, organized crime, labor, the environment, and more.

Noriega is the recipient of an Edward R. Murrow Award for his reporting from Mexico, as well as awards from the New York Press Club, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and the French American Foundation. His work has been nominated three times for the News and Documentary Emmy Awards.

He previously worked for VICE News and BuzzFeed News. He has a master’s degree in investigative journalism from Columbia University.

Noriega is Colombian-American and has devoted much of his career to covering the Americas, from extensive travel across the continent to more than a decade of in-depth reporting on the ever evolving Latino diaspora in the U.S.
